At the woodshop!
This wood is harvested from the Colorado Black Forest. In June of 2013, there was a forest fire that raged for over a week. It was the most destructive fire in Colorado’s history, covering 94,000 acres. Much of the wood has to be cleared as it was a casualty of the fire.
The bluish gray streaks in this wood are caused by the infestation of the Mountain Pine Beetle, which spread a fungus throughout the wood.
